Meet Our Staff
Pastor Allison Byerley
Pastor Allison was raised in Houston, TX. She graduated from Rice University and began working in the Information Technology industry until 1999 when she began studies at Perkins School of Theology, graduating in 2001. She then moved to England where she served as pastor in the British Methodist Church for a year before returning to the US. Once back on US soil, Allison served in Texas before being appointed to a California church in Mariposa in 2017 and later to Tulare. She was appointed to St. Paul’s here in Manteca in July 2023.
Pastor Allison is committed to The United Methodist Church and its mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. She loves animals and has both dogs and cats. She likes movies, is a needlework artist, and loves to read (especially mysteries and thrillers).
Kristen Frisk
Director of Family Ministries
Kristen was born and raised in St. Paul’s UMC. She began serving church families in an official role in 2008.
Kristen enjoys time with her family, the love of baseball and can be seen with a coffee in hand.
Val Genilla
Children’s Ministry Coordinator
A long time member of St. Paul’s and employee of St Paul’s preschool, Val has a passion for early childhood education and teaching our children about the love of Jesus.
Anne Talcott
Music Director
Anne Talcott directs the Chancel Choir, Music Discovery Choir and the St. Paul’s Praise Team. This is her 23rd year employed at St. Paul’s. Anne graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1977 with a B.M. in Music Education with a concentration in choral music and pipe organ. She taught band and choir in the Manteca Unified School District for thirty five years before retiring. Her last 23 years were at East Union where she taught choir and piano.

Michael worked as a telecom executive for 20 years at a Fortune 50 company. Today, he is a grandpa to 12 grandchildren and two great grandsons.
In his free time he enjoys driving around in his C7 Corvette convertible with the top down on a warm California day and snuggling with his rescue chihuahua at night.
