Doorkeepers

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness.
— Psalm 84:10 (NRSV)

It all started when…

Dale Johnson and Jack Boltman invited Gus Wrigglesworth down to help take care of our rose garden and Camellias at St. Paul’s one Friday. They had so much fun they agreed to meet the next Friday to work together some more. Jim Murchie joined them one Friday to do some minor repairs, and their little group began growing. One day someone brought donuts and they made some coffee - and the Doorkeepers were born!

The Doorkeepers are now a vital part of our church community. Without their combined efforts our grounds would not be as lovely as they are now.

The Doorkeepers meet every Friday morning to take care of St. Paul’s gardens and do some minor repairs. If you would like to join us for some good work, good food and good friendships - come on down!
