If you love to rake, weed, prune, maybe tinker or just get your fingers in the dirt, we’d love to have you join us! Our group is getting older and can certainly use some younger energy from time to time. We’d appreciate any time you can devote to this. Even if you can join us just once a month or so.

If you’ve ever had the thought of writing, like maybe a book or poetry but didn’t really know what to do next, this may be the place for you. We’ve already had a couple of wonderful writings shared in the June newsletter.
We’ll be meeting in the conference room in the office building on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. It was agreed to email the group the piece(s) they want to share on the Monday before the upcoming Wednesday meeting.

This is the basic body in the United Methodist Church. There will be sessions where representatives from the various churches in the conference to gather, give thanks, pray, have break out meetings for groups to discuss on assigned topics. There is a time to “discern God’s will for their future” before voting on issues coming before the conference. New pastors will be ordained and some will be retired, New legislation is discussed as well as other topics that need to be addressed.

This is a monthly event taking place on the last Saturday of each month providing free food for local Manteca area residents in need. Just bring your ID and names and birth dates for any household members. This is a drive through event where you don’t even need to get out of your car after you’ve been here once and completed the intake form. . (Please use the Powers Ave. driveway to enter the parking lot).
If you’re looking to volunteer at our Food Pantry, there are lots of different jobs to be done, both on our distribution day as well as during the month.. Some of the jobs are once a week for 2-3 hours doing things like bagging groceries or helping with loading and unloading from a shopping trip, and some (like working on distribution day) are just once a month for a few hours. A Father’s Day Brunch in our Fellowship Hall has been planned by Kat for 6/29. She will be providing the food (which is always delicious) as well as a special gift for the men. There are no tickets. All you need to do is sign up either directly with Kat or by phone or in person at the church office so Kat has a count of how many guests to prepare for.

The Alzheimer’s / Dementia caretaker support group meets on Thursdays from 2:00-3:30pm in the Fireside Room. You’re welcome to come and join, share, listen and get support for dealing with this difficult disease.
This is an opportunity for St. Paul’s to host from 1 to 4 families in our Fellowship Hall for a 2 week period as they work towards getting a home of their own. The families stay with us from late afternoon for dinner, game/family time until after breakfast the following morning. Our congregation, with assistance from other churches and individuals, provide shelter, meals, snacks and companionship during their stay with us.

Are you an aspiring writer? We are starting up something new. Today is the first meeting of the Writer’s Group. If you’ve ever had the thought of writing, like maybe a book or poetry but didn’t really know what to do next, this may be the place for you.
We’ll be meeting in the conference room in the office building on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. It was agreed to email the group the piece(s) they want to share on the Monday before the upcoming Wednesday meeting. We’ve already had a couple of wonderful writings shared in the June newsletter.

Manteca Interfaith Community Appeal meets in our Fireside Room on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Mission / Vision Statement: MICA endeavors to bring together people of various faiths, beliefs, ad traditions around common goals of service, education and peace for all people.
They achieve this by acting with respect, appreciating our diversity and responding in solidarity with those most in need, while promoting these values in our community from generation to generation, one activity at a time.
This class meets on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Fellowship Hall. The class is offered for free by Elaine, a volunteer who teaches several different types of classes in other locations. Any love offerings will be donated back to St. Paul’s and will go towards our fund to purchase some AED devices.
Come and work on your “temple” to keep it toned or even get into a little better shape than you’re currently in. Movement is good both physical and mental wellbeing.
This group meets weekly in the Fireside Room. All are welcome to join in our discussion as we read and explore the current book. This class reads the book in class and then has some discussion time.

Kids’ Care will be available in the Family Ministries Room from 9:30 - 11:30am.
Kids’ Zone is available where the children can, if they’d like, leave the sanctuary service with the youth leadership team around 10:20 for their lessons.

This group is open to anyone who wants to join, to sing, play an instrument or both. Come join this fun group as they get prepared to worship with the congregation, usually, a couple of Sundays a month, providing the congregation with a more upbeat twist to the traditional hymns. We also have some non-traditional instruments joined in with this group so if you have something you’d like to bring and play, please come and join us! Rehearsals are in the Sanctuary.
We’re celebrating summer with a young adult summer kickoff (with swimming and BBQ) at the nearby home of a member of our congregation . Please contact the church office at (209} 823-7154 for location and to RSVP.

An outdoor experience! This group meets in the gardens weekly on Friday mornings to keep our church grounds looking beautiful. They keep up with the many small (and some not-so-small) gardening maintenance tasks. If you love to rake, weed, prune, maybe tinker or just get your fingers in the dirt, we’d love to have you join us! Our group is getting older and can certainly use some younger energy from time to time. We’d appreciate any time you can devote to this. Even if you can join us just once a month or so.
