Music Ministry

Music plays a major part in the ministry of St. Paul’s.

From our Chancel Choir, Mission Bells, Music Discovery Choir, St. Paul’s Praise Team, piano/organ music or our congregational singing, music enhances the worship experience. It has been said that one should make a joyful noise unto the Lord and that is supported in the music that is woven into our weekly worship experience.

The Music Ministry is an important part of the total worship experience. We invite you to add your talents to this ministry by participating in the choirs or by adding your instrumental talent to the music
program.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is open to all teenagers and adults. Rehearsals take place in the music room on Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00pm during the months of August through May. Kids Care is provided during rehearsals. The choir works on music that enhances the worship experience. There are currently over 25 members in the Chancel Choir taught and directed by Anne Talcott and accompanied by Darin Brown. Missions Bell Choir

The Mission Bells are under the direction of Lisa Traughber. The handbell choir welcomes persons who are able to read music and wish to broaden their experience by ringing in the handbell choir. The Mission Bells play in church, often on the last Sunday of each month. It is a special treat to hear the resonance of the bells in the sanctuary as worship takes place. Music Discovery Choir

The Music Discovery Choir is open to all children from ages 4 through 13. They rehearse in the choir room on Thursdays from 6:15-6:45 August through May. The children learn how to sing, how to read music, how to play instruments (bells, song flutes and rhythm) and how to add sign language to their music. They sing in worship once a month. The Music Discovery Choir is taught and directed by Anne Talcott and Michelle Brown.  

St. Paul’s Praise Team

The St. Paul’s Praise Team is a group made up of approximately twenty members. They lead the congregation on occasion with their voices, guitars, drums, keyboard, flute, ukuleles and marimbulas. Anne Talcott teaches and directs this group who provide meaningful worship through uplifting and fun praise music. Please contact the office or Anne Talcott for the current rehearsal schedule. People of all ages are welcome to join the St. Paul’s Praise Team!

Summer Worship
