The Food Pantry provides food assistance to individuals and families in need and go through a supportive qualifying process. The Food Pantry Ministry has expanded its efforts to provide comfort and support for our neighbors in need. Recently, the Food Pantry provided two luncheons and a Christmas Ham dinner. Each client got to take a ham home with them. UM Women provided stockings for the children. We had crafts and cookie decorating and a visit from Santa. Clients were profoundly grateful.

Thanks to the Masons, we are providing a hot dog lunch each Friday that we are open. Clients arrive early and enjoy each other's company. Because of recent inclement weather, we have used half of the Fellowship Hall to offer this service. Clients enjoy reading the new scriptures on the walls of Fellowship Hall. It is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We enclose a Welcome card in each bag, inviting them to worship. We carry their groceries to their cars. We are the only food pantry in Manteca that has home deliveries to Seniors, shut-ins and those without transportation. We currently have three teams of volunteers delivering to 38 clients.

Our volunteers number 51, representing 12 different churches in our area! Along with our church, we are supported by United Way Community Impact Fund, LDS food donations and volunteer missionaries, Sequoia Elementary School Canned Food Drive (2,000 cans), Den Dulk Eggs, Masons, The Anglican Church, United Methodist Women and Federated Women.
